With Squeeze, video compression is as easy as 1, 2, 3, 4:
- Open an uncompressed video file
- Select an output format
- Select an intelligent preset
- Press "SQUEEZE IT!"
Step One: Open an Uncompressed Video File
- Import an uncompressed video using one of the three INPUT options (for this example Import File is used)
- Select Import File
- Browse to the desired file using the Open dialog box
- Select the file and click Open
- The file appears in the Batch Tree under an assigned Job number.
Step Two: Select an Output Format
- Select the output format from one of seven offered types (for this example flash is used).
Note: The choice of Output files depends on what version of Squeeze you purchased.
Step Three: Select an Intelligent preset
- Select the "+" plus sign to open the options
- Select one of the many Intelligent Presets
Note:
An Intelligent Preset is a predefined setting for the output target.
The preset may be altered and saved to best suit your compression needs.
- Apply the preset by either:
- Dragging it to the batch tree, or
- Clicking APPLY in the lower right hand corner.
- The preset appears in the Batch Tree under the source file.
Step Four: Press "Squeeze IT!"
- Select the SQUEEZE IT! button in the lower right hand side of the Squeeze interface.
Note:
Squeeze places the finished, compressed movie(s) in the folder that
contains your source movie file unless you specify a different output
folder location.
